We Are Together: The BECT AW20 Collection
With AW20, “We Are Together,” we celebrate three values that run deep in eastern culture: hospitality, kindness, and unity. The design is inspired by seals of approval, so wearing a piece from this collection marks you with those values. Every piece is made from 100% French terry cotton in Portugal. The hoodies and sweatpants use a heavyweight 465 GSM cotton, and the tees a 235 GSM cotton. The fabric holds its shape and stays soft wash after wash, though it can shrink by up to 3%. We hand-make every print in Switzerland using a heat press and Swiss flex foil, so no two pieces are exactly alike. The hoodie has a blue print, the tee a purple one, and the custom sweater a green one. Each garment also carries an Italian-made label, sewn on by hand. The collection is completed by our tennis socks, made in Germany from cotton and Lycra and infused with silver for odour reduction. Each sock is marked for its side: one “to the left,” one “to the right.” We shot the collection in Copenhagen in December, braving the cold by the sea and across the city.
